A charity team in charge of scholarships and grants was overwhelmed by spreadsheets, manual processes and online forms. The consequence of spending so much time on repetitive admin activities meant they were losing spending time with the recipients, who needed their support. In some cases, the team just didn’t have the capacity to even meet (as is essential) the recipients at all. For a charity with a limited income every penny counts, but the costs of not meeting those awarded charity funds was causing significant challenges.
Alcea was on hand to support the charity team to better understand their processes, and to advise on how AI tools and technology could help them reduce their repetitive manual processes into a single automated online one using an AI tool. This resulted in a significant timesaving, of over 10 hours a week. Freeing up much needed time for the team to focus on meeting and supporting the charities recipients rather than using the time to fill in multiple spreadsheets.
